#Summary:

Ezra Pound’s poem “In a Station of the Metro” is a short Imagist poem published in 1913. The poem describes a brief moment when the poet sees many faces in a crowded metro station in Paris. He compares these faces to “petals on a wet, black bough,” suggesting that the faces appear suddenly and beautifully in the dark underground station. On the other hand, people who waste time often feel regret later. Therefore, we should always try to use our time in a productive way.
